Meghan Markle Potential Return to Acting in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix Series ‘The Gentlemen’
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Meghan Markle, former star of Suits and wife of Prince Harry, may collaborate with acclaimed British director Guy Ritchie for her return to acting. Following reports of an offered role in a UK-based project, news has surfaced that preliminary talks are underway for her appearance in Season 3 of Netflix’s hit series The Gentlemen.
However, sources emphasize that these discussions are in early stages and remain speculative; the Theo James-led series has not yet been officially renewed for a third season, although renewal is considered highly likely. Season 2 of the series is set to premiere on September 3. Furthermore, no specific role has been set for Markle as of yet, and official representatives for Netflix and Meghan Markle have declined to comment officially on the matter.
While her joining the project is not yet definitive, Markle’s potential involvement in a UK-filmed series makes sense. This high-profile casting move could draw significant media attention and attract new audiences. Set in the same cinematic universe as Guy Ritchie’s 2019 feature film, Season 2 of The Gentlemen takes place a year after Eddie (Theo James) and Susie (Kaya Scodelario) began partnering in Bobby’s (Ray Winstone) criminal empire. As they attempt to expand operations, Bobby’s decisions grow increasingly erratic, forcing Eddie and Susie to choose between taking action or risking losing everything.
The series ensemble cast includes Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Hugh Bonneville, and Michele Morrone. Created by Guy Ritchie, the series is co-written with Matthew Read.
